Examples of some of our Art Projects


  • Tiger Class  learned how to mix red and yellow to make different shades of orange. They then used this as a background to create their own Great Fire of London Collages.
  • Linking Art and Maths! Tiger Class looked for parallel and perpendicular lines in Tudor houses. They used right angle testers and rulers to make accurate right angles and perfect parallel lines.

  • The whole school collaborated to make this wonderful wall hanging. class 1 made the flowers, Class 2 made the trees and the tractors. Class 3 made the children and we all worked together to make the buildings.

  • Tiger Class practised their sewing and cutting material to make these Christmas puddings to put on their Christmas trees. They also learned how to plait ribbons to make their own special hangers.
  • Another example of Tiger Class' Christmas sewing project. They practised sewing and cut out their own  shapes from felt to decorate the pudding. Then they plaited their own ribbons so that their puddings would hang off the Christmas tree.
  • Painting reindeer
  • Tiger Class painted their own reindeers. They learned how to do a colour wash on the back of their picture first and then used different brushes to paint their reindeers.
  • Using paper weaving skills in Lion Class to make Katie Morag a new kilt.
  • Tiger Class had lots of fun making new kilts for Katie Morag using their paper weaving skills.

  • We used cutting and pasting  skills on the computer to create these very effective pictures of the Great Fire of London

  • Panther Class compared art work by Peter Max and Vincent Van Gogh. They learned about the vanishing point and were inspired to create their own art work using crayon resist and water paint to create the desired effects.

  • The children created the background using paints in the same way as Peter Thorpe would and then used their newly learned skills to create 3D images to add the rockets and planets to their painted backgrounds.
