The school's governors hold an important public office. We are lucky at Catforth to have committed and supportive governors, who all take an active role in the work of the governing body. We have 10 governors in all, appointed by different bodies to carry out three key roles;
-
To provide strategic leadership for the school
-
To challenge and hold the school to account in providing the best possible standard of education for our children.
-
To provide support for the school, as a critical friend.
A meeting of the full governing body is held once a term and there are a number of committees, some of which meet once a term and others as and when required.
Our Chair of Governors is Mrs Hannah Tappenden, who can be contacted via the school office.
