Characters on trial
The children wrote questions for characters and then considered how they would answer using evidence from the book.
Pollination
We learnt that pollination happens with help from people, insects, birds and other animals. We used glitter to show how pollen can be transferred from flowering plant to flowering plant.
Seed dispersal
We investigated seed dispersal by simulating seed pod bursting by observing glitter filled balloons. We blew bubbles to help us imagine how different seeds could be carried by the wind.
Professor Nitrate's visit
We had a visit from Professor Nitrate who taught us lots of interesting facts about topics from fire to bubbles.
Peer editing
The children shared their writing and worked together to mark and edit their work.
